Many people in the U.S. look forward to celebrating Memorial Day with loved ones every year. The three-day weekend gives those a chance to indulge in getaway vacations, feast at BBQs, swimming in lakes, and more exciting outdoor activities. Unfortunately, 2020 had other plans. Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), many are now practicing safe social distancing, but that doesn’t mean the celebration can’t go on! The holiday wouldn’t be a celebration without a little decoration, or a lot! Memorial Day weekend is a time for gathering and you’re home could be the perfect spot this year around. With so many fun things going on during the weekend, it is easy to forget what the day really is about. However, there are ways to honor those who have served for the country. Toddlers will get a kick out of this, send sweet messages through art! Show a fellow veteran some support this year by showing creativity. Chalk art is one of the best ways to get the message across to those passing by. Make someone smile by simply writing “Thank You” in red, white, and blue. Another way to honor those who served, is by sending a message via social media and tagging the person personally. Ideas are endless on how to show your support.
