The New York Botanical Garden celebrates Black History Month by welcoming guest speakers and an African Movement ensemble. Hosted by NYBG Board Member Karen Washington, the keynote address is given by the Honorable Vanessa Gibson and the performance by the African Movement Ensemble features a group of musicians and dancers who create movements and rhythms, which portray folklore from West Africa and the African-American experience.
