$45 Fridays in August 2023: 8/4, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25 Goal: "Screenwriting: Master Your Pilot" is a class designed to help aspiring screenwriters develop their skills and create a compelling pilot episode for a TV series. Through a combination of lectures, writing exercises, and peer review, students will learn how to craft a strong story concept, create engaging characters, and write effective dialogue. By the end of the class, students will have completed a polished pilot script that showcases their talents and sets them on the path towards a successful career in screenwriting. Instructor Biography: Jasmine White (she/her) graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse, where she majored in Television, Radio, and Film. In 2019 Jasmine launched and raised over $15,000 to produce her digital series Hotline, a drama about a lawyer who begins working at a suicide call center. The series is highly anticipated and is expected to release this year. Jasmine joins BronxNet after leaving A+E Networks, where she worked as a junior executive in Programming & Development on the Lifetime Original movies team. Jasmine has helped shepherd numerous projects from inception to screen and looks forward to bringing her experience to BronxNet.
