On this episode of Public Health America, Dr. Latimer speaks with Dr. Curtis Henry, an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. He is also a member of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and a member of the Cancer Immunology program at the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute. During this segment, Dr. Henry discusses the public health impact of obesity, its role in promoting cancer progression, and how it impacts the efficacy of chemo- and immune-based therapies. Given that obesity rates are rising worldwide, most notably in communities of color, this discussion aims to highlight the pleiotropic detrimental impacts of pandemic. 8/16/22.
