5-Alarm Fire at 333 East 181 Street

On January 9th a 5-alarm fire broke out in 333 East 181st Street in the Bronx. UPDATE 01/10/22: Mayor Eric Adams stated the medical examiner has modified the death toll from the fire to 17 people - nine adults and eight children. The number was reported Sunday to be 19.
