Dr. William Latimer speaks with Dr. Qiana L. Brown, Assistant Professor & Director of the SURE MatCH Group at the Center for Prevention Science at Rutgers School of Social Work. She discusses the potential health effects of prenatal cannabis (marijuana) use on maternal and child health and critical policy issues with respect to our social and legal response to cannabis use during pregnancy. Dr. Brown also talks about her life journey, including inspiration from her mother that led her to create her own foundation, Jane’s House of Inspiration, a not-for-profit agency to provide treatment and support to people recovering from addiction, alongside her college experiences that helped set the stage for her academic and professional career.
