Opportunity Overview

BronxNet is looking to hire 2 Virtual Spring 2022 Master Control Intern for our Programming Department.

Master Control operators at BronxNet monitor and assure play-out for the network’s six cable TV channels and live streams along with select social media simulcasts. MCOs are gatekeepers and “last line of defense” for the organization’s broadcast standards.

As a Master Control Intern, you will:

Shadow our Master Control operators and assist in monitoring programming in real-time.

Perform consistent quality checks of transmission and return of on-air and streaming product.

Verify all material airing by maintaining program logs.

Observe and assist with production of live broadcasts.

Prepare and check programming material for on-air playback via automation system, when necessary.

Attend bi-weekly virtual programming meetings.

Gain exposure to the exciting world of network television in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Meet at the BronxNet studios on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM

Additional Information:

This role is an unpaid internship for college credit. The internship will commence January 24, 2022 and run through Friday, May 13, 2022 and the intern will be expected to work 10 hours per week. The exact schedule and hours will be determined with the finalist. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this internship will operate in a fully remote capacity.
