The Programming Team at the Emmy-award winning BRONXNET is responsible for programming, scheduling, trafficking and managing master control operations, in order to cablecast and stream six local TV channels. Programming identifies compelling independent specials and series, sets strategic program schedules to maximize viewership, and quality controls content from an in-house production department and hundreds of independent producers. Assist/shadow Traffic Manager, Programming Assistants and Master Control Operators during quality control and scheduling processes
Observe pilot review process
Attend programming meetings
Gracenote compliance checks
Assist with monthly cancellation checks
Update metadata in Cablecast
Access producer data entry in WebCheckout
Pursuing a degree in Communications, Film/TV, Broadcast Journalism or similar
A successful intern will communicate effectively, display strong organizational skills in order to handle multiple projects at once, and have an interest in the medium of television (both linear and digital)
The candidate should have strong PC/Mac skills and be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere
Basic proficiency with G Suite preferred, but not required
Meticulous attention to detail is a MUST
Flexible schedule preferred, with a willingness to work during a whole semester
