Systems Administrator

BronxNet is seeking a System Administrator to provide technical support to our team and facilities!

BronxNet is an independent award-winning not-for-profit producing programming by, for, and about the people of the Bronx, while training the community to produce programs to share with their neighbors and the world. 

BronxNet seeks a Systems Administrator who will provide end-user support for all BronxNet staff in a multisite IT environment. A mostly macOS house, the ideal candidate must have Mac knowledge and the ability to assist and/or a willingness to learn how to support our television production facilities and remote operations -  all located within the Bronx! 

We are a hybrid environment, but the ideal candidate should be able to move from site to site when needed. 

Duties include:

• Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed
• Set up accounts, workstations, and devices as needed
• Perform regular security tests and security monitoring
• Offer Level 1-2 technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems
• Ensure security through access control lists, backups, and firewall best practices
• Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
• Maintain technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies
• Manage servers on premises and virtually in the cloud

Technical Requirements:

Cisco Network Certified, MCSA, or equivalent experience

Knowledge of Azure AD

Above average MacOs skillset (network is 90% macOS, 10% PC)

Above average Gsuite and G Suite Admin knowledge

Advanced understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN, routing, switches, stacking/cabling

Working knowledge of VOIP systems

Knowledge of Telestream Vantage a plus

JAMF Certification a plus

AWS knowledge a plus

The ideal candidate must have a min of 3-5 years experience in a similar role -  ideally in a television environment.

• Ability to apply analytical skills to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems and recommend alternatives quickly and effectively
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and good customer service
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, change & adaptability in fast paced environment
• Effectively communicate complex technical issues both orally and in writing
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with company staff, vendors, and business partners

Salary Description

70-80k annual
