Bronx Reentry Working Group
+ Special Tribute to Dr. Suzan Johnson-Cook

On this episode of Perspectives, Daren Jaime talks to Dr. Pamela Valera of Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Ms. Mandolin Restivo, deputy project director of Bronx Community Solutions about the Bronx Reentry Working Group. Dr. Valera and Ms. Restivo discuss the coalition with the criminal justice system, the Bronx Borough President's Office, formerly incarcerated individuals, and prisons, to address the needs of those in the reentry community. Dr. Valera and Ms. Restivo points out that the major problems for formerly incarcerated people are the stigma and the lack of stable housing as they try to reintegrate within their communities.
