In her new book, “Patient Citizens, Immigrant Mothers”, professor Alyshia Galvez analyzes the difference between how Mexican women deal with pregnancy in their native country and the United States. Her research found that in Mexico, pregnancy is looked upon as a blessing no matter the financial challenge but here in America the same cannot be said.
