Fathers play a crucial role in their children’s development and Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. emphasized and encouraged fathers to stay involved, as he led a discussion featuring expert panelists. BronxNet captured the entire discussion for cablecast on your channels.

The inspirational and informative discussion included participants: Noted Psychologist, Author and Talk Show Host Dr. Jeff Gardere; Eagle Academy President David Banks; FACE/NYC Department of Education Executive Director Jesse Mojica; Bronx Legal Services Attorney Nelson Mar; Social Work Director Roger Ball; and NYC HRA Office of Child Support/Enforcement Representative Raymond Singleton. The experts talked about how fathers can make a difference in their children’s education, personal growth, lifetime success and more.

“This wonderful event offered Bronx fathers a chance to engage with one another and my office on an important issue, and I’m very happy that BronxNet was there to document it,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.

BronxNet Executive Director Michael Max Knobbe says: “Our Bronx Borough President continues effective dialogue with communities in the Bronx and it is important that we are able cover and share programs like this on BronxNet.” The program may be seen on BronxNet Channel 67 on Cablevision and BronxNet Channel 33 on Verizon FiOS as follows: Thursday, April 5, 6:00 p.m.; Friday, April 6, 12 noon and 11:00 p.m.; Saturday, April 7, 3:00 p.m.; Sun, April 8, 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.; Monday, April 9, 11:00 a.m.; Wednesday, April 11, 8:00 p.m.; Thursday, April 12, 6:00 p.m.; and Friday, April 13, 7:00 p.m.
