Classes
BronxNet's television production training classes are conveniently scheduled on evenings and weekends for the general public. Class sizes are small to allow maximum hands on learning. Courses include: Comprehensive training in all phases of field production Comprehensive training in all phases of studio production Technical and non-technical workshops for experienced producers including documentary and dramatic production. Go to Registration and Schedule Information >>> (see registration and schedule information). Bronx residents interested in taking classes should call the station at 718-960-1189 and leave their name and address for the mailing list or e-mail the information to audrey@bronxnet.org
Training Certification & Access
At the successful completion of one or more BRONXNET courses, participants are eligible to become certified access producers. Certification qualifies a producer to use BRONXNET equipment to produce programming for possible cablecast on one of BRONXNET's four channels, for transmission to Bronx cable subscribers. The producers create their own non-commercial programs that uniquely express their own point of view. The programs air on Channels 68, 69 and 70 on Cablevision or Channels 33, 34, 35,36 on Verizon FiOS, each available 24 hours a day.
