VIDEO TAPE GUIDELINES

Bronxnet cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged tapes. Please make sure tapes are picked up within 30 days after last airdate.

Please be aware of your program length. "Half hour" slots are actually 29 minutes long including your credits. "One hour" series slots are actually 59 minutes long including your credits. Keep your program length within these times. Any video program that runs longer than this will not air. All programs should have about one minute of continuous video (or pre-roll) before the start of the actual program and at the end of the actual program (end-roll). Your pre-roll and end-roll should be continuous video such as color bars, a countdown, or black. Black is probably the easiest pre-roll to create; if you're taping your show on your camcorder, just leave your lens cap on and record nothing for the first minute. Do the same to your tape to add end-roll after your program. Recording proper pre-roll and end-roll is critical. Without pre-roll and end-roll, your show will not air properly.

You must submit your tape in a case, both affixed with the proper program labels. Your labels will be available at the Reception Desk at the beginning of each quarter. Each label lists your program's title, episode number, airdate, airtime, and channel. Check your labels to make sure that the information is correct. If anything seems amiss, contact us immediately. We will not accept hand written labels.

You have two copies of each episode label. The first label should be placed on the top of your tape. The second label should be placed on the spine of your tape cover. The placement of your labels is very important.

Tapes are due to Bronxnet 48 hours in advance before its scheduled airtime. The Tape Library is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Tapes in storage cannot be picked up on Saturdays and Sundays. If you deliver your tape after hours on the day it is due, it will not air. Make sure your tape is in on time.

We accept a maximum of four tapes at a time. If you do not pick up your tape within 30 days of its last cablecast, it will be discarded.
