
Tomorrow. February 23rd, Author and Spoken Word Artist Walter Hidalgo along with Co-Founder of Border Health Mission, Alba Mota are hosting, “Hip Hop Spirituality and Empowerment”. An event that is bringing together MC’s, poets, and authors to produce empowerment and synergy to the hip hop community and show there is more to the genre than making money. The event is also the premiere for the book, “Beyond the Four Walls: The Rising Ministry and Spirituality of Hip Hop” written by Walter Hidalgo telling of his passion for music and exposure to international hip hop youth movements.
BronxNet is an independent, not-for-profit organization, established under the Cable Television Franchise Agreement between the City of New York and Cablevision of New York City.The station began cablecasting programs on July 1, 1993.
BronxNet provides local television by the people of the Bronx, for the people of the Bronx. Our channels feature BronxNet produced shows, as well as those created by community access producers.
BronxNet has a commitment to: training Bronx residents in television production, providing hands-on internships and solid media career preparation for high school and college students, and producing programs in the interest of Bronx residents and not-for-profit organizations.
Community Television Channels BronxNet programs are available on Channels 67, 68, 69 and 70 on the Cablevision system and on Channels 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 on the Verizon Fios system.
