Nicole Johnson

Nicole Johnson, Emmy-Award winning journalist and native New Yorker, began her journalism career as an editorial writer for, The Orlando Sentinel, in Florida where she attended Rollins College. Nicole's debut on air was at Bronx Net and News 12 throughout the tri-state area. In pursuit of her TV news goals, Nicole held a variety of positions at WPIX-11, but was most well-known for her position as the Assignment Desk Editor. SUNY Maritime College Receives Donation | Wartsila, the marine industry's leading solutions provider, donated the main components of a hybrid diesel propulsion system to the Engineering Department at State University of New York Maritime College (the Bronx, New York City), at an unveiling and dedication ceremony in mid-October. It was the official opening of the Wartsila Lab on the SUNY Maritime campus. New York State Senator Jeffrey Klein and New York State Assemblyman Michael Benedetto were among the dignitaries attending. The total donation to SUNY Maritime College's Engineering Department is valued at $1 million.


BronxNet is an independent, not-for-profit organization, established under the Cable Television Franchise Agreement between the City of New York and Cablevision of New York City.The station began cablecasting programs on July 1, 1993.

BronxNet provides local television by the people of the Bronx, for the people of the Bronx. Our channels feature BronxNet produced shows, as well as those created by community access producers.

BronxNet has a commitment to: training Bronx residents in television production, providing hands-on internships and solid media career preparation for high school and college students, and producing programs in the interest of Bronx residents and not-for-profit organizations.

Community Television Channels BronxNet programs are available on Channels 67, 68, 69 and 70 on the Cablevision system and on Channels 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 on the Verizon Fios system.
