This summer, BronxNet is pleased to announce another exclusive workshop. Partnering with The Center for Global Peace Journalism at Park University, BronxNet will be helping to educate students and community members in Peace Journalism, an innovative and positive way to produce news packages, programs, specials, vignettes, and other programs in the ways of Peace Journalism. Professor Steven Youngblood of Park University designed this workshop and has taught it abroad, in Uganda and other African nations.
The mission is simple: promote the concept of peace and Peace Journalism, including advocating non-violent conflict resolution through seminars, and courses, both in the United States and abroad. BronxNet is proud to have him work with our interns, our community, Lehman College students and faculty for this weeklong workshop. The workshop will cover the basics of what Peace Journalism is, how to utilize it, and how to use its tenets in projects and programs.
