The Bronx Journal television show is an innovative and exiting way to stay
in touch with local, national and international issues.
Hosted by Miguel Pérez, this show is done is conjunction with BronxNet
and the journalism department in Lehman College.
Pérez is also a journalism professor at Lehman College of the City
University of New York (CUNY), in the Bronx, where he serves as the
editor-in-chief of The Bronx Journal, a student/community newspaper, and
as host of The Bronx Journal TV show, which airs on Bronxnet TV.
Born in Havana 57 years ago, Pérez came to the United States as a
refugee at the age of 11 in 1962. He didn't speak a word of English. But
he went on to become sports editor of his high school newspaper, editor
of two college papers, a reporter for The Tampa Times and The Miami
Herald, and a staff columnist for the New York Daily News and The Record
of Hackensack, N.J.
