BronxNet Training

Bronx residents who dream of producing their own magazine program, documentary, talk show, variety show or instructional program will be able to make that dream a reality in a matter of eight weeks. Registration is taking place now for a new set of BronxNet studio and field production classes that begin mid June. The eight-week classes are open to all Bronx residents 18 years of age and over. Individuals who complete a class will have access to equipment to produce their own program, and airtime on a BronxNet channel to share that program.

“We are in an era where we are offering unprecedented opportunity for Bronxites with leading edge technological upgrades. BronxNet serves Bronx residents by offering media literacy workshops that prepare Bronx residents to become independent producers. We provide digital platforms that allow individuals to connect with audiences in the Bronx and around the world,” said BronxNet Executive Director Michael Max Knobbe.

In a recent studio production workshop, students learned special lighting and directing techniques as they worked as a group to produce a professional one-hour program featuring interviews, spoken word and performances by a Latin band.
